CUYAHOGA VALLEY DEMOCRATIC CLUB

Meeting minutes for September 16, 2025 6:30 pm

Officers in attendance: President Cami Ross, VP Lisa Schwab, Treasurer

Chris Krol and Secretary Rosalind Santini and 18 club members.

President Cami Ross : called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm welcoming

all members and gave a brief history of the clubs rejuvenation this year in

January, the club goals and summer events. She went on to discuss the

importance of local elections, particularly the school board elections in all

our local school districts. Cami used a power point presentation to review

election results in the past 2 years and at the local and state levels. She

recommends the group honestyforohioeducation.org to track legislation

and take action. Election board information for all 5 towns is also included

in the presentation.

CVDC Treasurer

Chris Krol announced that she is running for a seat on the Educational Service Center of

NE Ohio. This group is made up of 5 members the 3 local school districts; Cuyahoga Hts,

Independence and Richmond Hts. This group develops programs for the Special Needs

children in 47 local schools.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 7th at 6:30 pm in the Independence

Library.

1)We are inviting Independence School Board Candidates to our meeting to

introduce themselves.

2) We are planning to make posters for the NO KINGS RALLY on Saturday,

October 18th

3) We will also be coordinating a postcard writing campaign to promote

democratic messages about the damaging effects of the GOP big ugly bill with the

group postcards@turnoutpac.org .

4) We will be recruiting more members from all 5 towns/villages, please invite

your friends to our meetings.
